This INACCURATE REPORTING caused my credit score to drop by 40 POINTS. The payment was ulitmately returned by the bank and NOW the company has updated my credit report stating that I am 30 DAYS LATE for a payment that was MADE and CLEARED prior to the due date. The unauthorized charge of $303 caused my Bank of America Account to be overdrawn and cost me fees with the bank as well. I also contacted my bank about the same thing. I IMMEDIATELY contacted the credit card company to make them aware of their error and the unauthorized charge of $303 - and was told that it would be noted, corrected and escalated for the money to be returned to my bank account as the monthly minimum had been paid and met already (as documented). On March 18th, the company WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION took another $303.00 payment from my Bank of America Account - for a payment that had already been met for the month of March. I paid this amount prior to the due date, broken down in three separate payments ($100, $100, $103 - TOTAL $303) - these payments were made and cleared my bank account prior to the due date of 3/18. Per statement from my Credit Card (VERVE ending in 0875) - the Payment due on March 18th was $303.
